interest surrounded by beautiful scenery. It provides a picturesque setting for
a visit at any time of the year.
Sword Beach
Only 100 metres away from the apartment is the golden sands of the famous Sword
Beach.
City of Caen The city of
Caen can be reached by a twenty minute bus ride or drive from Lion sur Mer.
D-Day

Golf de Caen
Only five miles from Lion sur Mer is the 27 hole Caen Golf Course. The
facilities offered include a restaurant, golf school and pro's shop.
Pegasus Bridge
The museum is run by the D-Day Landing Committee, founded in 1945. It
is located at Musée du Débarquement, Place du 6
Juin, 14117 Arromanches. This is approx 15 mins from the apartment.
Lion-sur-Mer in 1944
On
6 June 1944, the 4th Special Service Brigade landed on Sword Beach in the
second wave. The Commandos were assigned the task to take Lion-sur-Mer.
