PIZZA LEONE (Pizzeria - Restaurant – Ice Creams)
10, rue Edmond Bellin - 02.31.97.64.61    A nice Pizzeria only a few yards from the apartment.  Excellent Italian food at reasonable prices, also does take-away pizza. 

LA TAVERNE (Bar - Restaurant – Home Cooking)
15, Place Georges Clémenceau - 02.31.96.27.05    Just around the corner towards the beach, this small restaurant offers traditional French cuisine and seafood specialties. Worth booking a table as it can get very busy. 

LE CORROSSOL (Pizzeria - Crêperie – Ice Creams)
boulevard Carnot - 02.31.96.10.21    Nice friendly little restaurant at the end of the street by the traffic lights. Excellent pizzas and good house wine. 

LE GOËLAND (Bar - Crêperie - Brasserie – Salad bar)
2, boulevard Carnot - 02.31.96.07.06    Specialising in crêpes, just across the main road. Nice outdoor terrace at the back looking on to the church square.

Shops

SHOPI SUPERMARKET  Approximately 300m away on the main road, opposite the chemist. This is open every day including Sunday mornings!! It sells everything you could need at standard supermarket prices. 

BOULANGERIE (BAKERS)   Almost opposite the apartment building, an excellent boulangerie with a wide choice of speciality breads and cakes, as well as traditional baguettes, croissants and pain au chocolates. There is a small seating area inside ideal for relaxing on the way back from the beach.

GROCERS   Opposite the boulangerie on the same side of the road as the apartment building this small grocers sells all the essentials and is open every day. Ideal if you don’t want to walk 300m to the supermarket!! 

NEWSAGENTS   Next door to the boulangerie on the bottom corner of the street, this newsagents stocks English newspapers, as well as postcards, paper and pens. 

POST OFFICE   Just around the corner as you head down to the beach, the post office is open 6 days a week and also has a cash point. 

TOURIST OFFICE   Situated by the car park on the way to the beach. Open everyday throughout July and August, and Thursday to Sunday all other times. Has lots of useful information about local attractions and activities. Very pleasant and helpful staff. 

MARKET   The local market takes place every Thursday morning at the car park of the Salle Trianon by the tourist office. 

There is also a bus service that runs from Lion sur Mer to the centre of Caen from the bus stop by the SHOPI.
