RESTAURANTS There are too many fantastic restaurants in Sulmona and the local area to list, here are a few of our favourites:

OSTERIA DEL TEMPO PERSO (Pizzeria - Restaurant)
Vico del Vecchio, 7. Tel 0864 52545. Fantastic food in a fantastic setting and all at very reasonable prices. Worth booking a table as it can get very busy.

VECCHIO MURO (Pizzeria - Restaurant)
Via M. D'Eramo, 20. Tel 0864 50595. Eat in or outdoors in this amazing restaurant. Very reasonable prices for superb food. Definitely worth booking a table as gets very busy.

CANTINA DI BIFFI (Restaurant)
Via Barbato, 1. Tel 0864 32025. Not the cheapest in town but an excellent variety of local freshly cooked food. Don't expect a menu!

AL QUADRIVIO (Restaurant)
Via Mazara, 38. Great local food at great prices.

LA GOLE (Pizzeria - Restaurant)
A fantastic restaurant on the outskirts of Aniversa Degli Abruzzi. Amazing views and great food at very reasonable prices.

SUPERMARKETS

LIDL Same stock and same prices as any other Lidl. Great deals on Italian red wine.

IL BORGO This a small commercial centre with a variety of shops including a large Coop that sells everything from fruit & veg to fridge freezers. There's also a restaurant where you can grab a pizza or just a coffee and a pastry.

EUROSPIN There are 2 of these in Sulmona, your average supermarkets that sell everything you need.

CONAD A little pricier than some of the other supermarkets but more of a selection available.

SERVICES

TOURIST OFFICE Situated in the famous Palazzo Annunziata in the centre of Sulmona. It has lots of useful information about local attractions and activities. Register here for 4 hrs free wifi every day which can be used in several different areas around Sulmona. Very pleasant and helpful staff.

POST OFFICE There's one in nearly every village, all with different opening days and times! The main one in Sulmona town is open 6 days a week, standard Italian hours.

MARKET The large local market takes place every Wednesday and Saturday morning in Sulmona's Piazza Garibaldi (main square).

BUGNARA

Under 2 miles away is the beautiful village of Bugnara, it has a few small shops, bars and a post office.
